Meeting special needs in the Panhandle

Surviving HIV requires treating the entire person, not just the illness.  Having HIV means having issues with money, nutrition, side-effects, etc.

We are fortunate to have an entire support system already in-place here in the panhandle.  This includes case workers,  specialists, doctors, nurses, financial assistance, counseling and support groups who know about HIV and the issues it creates.

Calico Spirit
Calico Spirit is an HIV support group for individuals and their partners.

Meetings are held monthly with events planned several times during the year where the entire family is welcome to attend.  Please contact Jill Young if you'd like to attend.

Jill Young is the Nebraska AIDS Project case manager for the Scottsbluff office.

Ryan White Title III
HIV Clinic

All individuals enrolled in the Western Community Health Resources’ (WCHR) Ryan White Title III program can receive medical care at a special HIV clinic.  The HIV clinic is held in western Nebraska every three months at Panhandle Community Services Health Center, 975 Crescent Drive, in Gering, Nebraska.
